A
Field Guide
to Caregiving...&
Begin Again...within resiliency

Running on empty? Driving fast with a happy face sticker across your dwindling gas gauge?

These two books are gasoline for your tank.
Written with:

Available on Amazon as an eBook, a paperback AND an Audio book. The Field Guide has ALL 31 gifts.
  • The cred of a solo daughter
  • The perspective of a healthcare Pro,
  • With just enough humor to make a better day...

Caregiving is not easy...but YOURS could be EASIER...

There are better ways for both of you to get through this. In the end, it is about lives well lived...and that, my friend, is about bouncing well. (That would be Gift #10  Bounce Well.)

Resilience in the trenches of love is the goal for which the Field Guide ( and its subsequent Begin Again) was written because caregiving – your efforts here –change everything.  It matters.

You don’t have to be a perfect caregiver... in fact, it gets in the way.

Caregiving changes the planet but it also changed me—teaching some tough and tender lessons. As a daughter, I was in it, but now as a hospice chaplain I have some perspective on it... Perhaps, it should be titled...a daughter's field guide...but it's not just for daughters. This book is for anyone on the frontlines of love...and illness with another.

This is messy work and inherently possesses minefields of unresolved stuff. (Stuff being a technical term for stories that got baked in deep before we knew we were in an oven...)

Grab & go inspirations in bite-sized pieces in two books:

Available on Amazon as an eBook, a paperback AND an Audio book. Begin Again has the first eight gifts...to get you to a better place – even in the trenches of love.

There two books & two Audible versions of the books.

Begin Again is a subset of the Field Guide because when we are in survival mode and taking care of a loved one who is ill, we can only deal of so much... and the first eight practices will get you back to center...and a better day.

Begin Again and the Resiliency Workshop are about practicing on the frontlines of love, and these first eight gifts for more resiliency.

The Field Guide has two more sections for a total of 31 gifts and practices of increasing levels of spiritual (yet not quite religious) challenge.

It is all part of the circle of care...and the way the Almighty moves the world... through our hands. Einstein called God the Prime Mover.  I like that. Others call God, Love.  What about you?

These books are about those more balanced choices & a compass, which is more compassionate to all (even ourselves). Of course, there are things we cannot control, but there are things that we can do and skills we can grow...like resilience, which is learned and relearned.

The Begin Again Resiliency Workshop
At this time...it is free to you.

An online workshop from the Frontlines of Love...

It is not even necessary to buy the book, Begin Again, to do the Resiliency  Workshop (Sign up here).

The Frontlines of love tends to slap us into survival mode, as it did me. When we are there, it's hard to think about more.

It's what Begin Again & its workshop is focused on: no Zoom needed, only email, a browser, and an Internet connection.

Don't worry about more, right now, if you are caregiving someone you love.  Try these first eight in this free online workshop.

Get re-centered.  It will make the small and the big stuff, easier - not easy but easier.

That's enough for right now.

Eight gifts await you every 4 days over the next 40... with beautiful DIY journal pages to be printed, an audio book, print book & micro videos to guide you...

Both Books...& AUDIBLE BOOKs  available
on Amazon & Apple books.

"I started reading your book ...and was hooked
by the end of chapter one. An informative, compassionate read
by someone who has walked the walk."
– Barbara Karnes, RN 2019
Author of Gone from my Sight ('the little blue book')

Read it all night.  It was funny and useful. - A.W.

This book is awesome and very relevant!! I have shared it with our Hospice/Palliative Care team.
- L.H.R

This was a great read with a hearty dose of humor. - D.S.

I wish I would have had it.....I'm still recovering from thoughts of should I have
done this, or that? Trying to save him from the inevitable.
I never had time to myself, I always was listening to make sure I would hear if he fell.
- C.G.
